Female figure in bronze
Dark Patinated Bronze
Late 19th century (XIX), ca. 1875–1899
The essence
An elegant bronze sculpture depicting a female nude captured in motion, characterised by a dynamic and natural pose. The outstretched arms, forward-leaning torso, and flowing hair lend the figure a sense of lightness and vitality, creating a composition of remarkable balance and harmony.
The rich dark patina enhances the anatomical modelling and the play of light across the surface. Signed “G. Parente”, the work is attributable to the Neapolitan sculptor Gabriele Parente, renowned for his refined female figures and his ability to translate movement into graceful sculptural forms.
